All Top 3 of Sprint take the same position in Pursuit

Once again the Norwegian showed their strength today. Even though it was not as clear as in Men Pursuit, Marte Olsbu Röiseland managed to defend her position adding fourth Norwegian victory in NMNM. Czech fans were happy over the 8th position of Markéta Davidová.

The Sprint winner Olsbu Röiseland lost her position at the second shooting, missing one target. France’s Anais Chevalier-Bouchet left in the lead into the third loop, but Marte soon took her position back after shooting 10/10 in standing. In the final loop, she had to fight with her team mate Ingrid Landmark Tandervold, but on the last hill she decided in her favor. Tandrevold finished second, 14 seconds ahead of Chevalier-Bouchet.

Markéta Davidová claimed the best result of the Czech team in NMNM today, getting from 16th position to 8th at the finish with two misses in standing shooting. “I regret missing the two. I was in a bit of a hurry and I think more respect was necessary. On the other hand, I had a couple of targets that fell in my favor, so it’s probably how it’s supposed to be. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don’t. Unfortunately, my final laps have not been the best this year, but it’s fair to say that the opponents were also strong,” she says.
