Work on the track continued into the night hours. The IBU race director praised their quality

Almost until morning, work was being done on the tracks in Nové Město na Moravě today. Borut Nunar, the Race Director of the International Biathlon Union, praised the efforts of the organizers as well as the quality of the tracks. Today, biathletes also praised the tracks during the training preceding the women's sprint.

"I was satisfied with the quality of the tracks already during the Wednesday mixed relays. On Thursday and into Friday morning, the Nove Mesto track team did an excellent job. Conditions are demanding, it will be tough for the athletes, but I am convinced it will be fair."

"We have done our utmost. It's important that the rain has stopped, so I believe the tracks will hold up well over the weekend. Any necessary snow replenishment would be done again on Monday, when there are no competitions."
